Personal Life Coaching
What's the difference between therapy and life coaching? I distinguish the two as follows: Therapy is a great way to heal from past wounds to function better in the present moment. Life Coaching is more present-focused, goal-oriented and solution-focused, rather than problem-focused. Coaching is not covered by insurance because it's not treatment for a medical diagnosis. It is a way to get support by a trained professional in areas of relationships, work, health and overall self-care. I was trained as a Life Coach in the late 1990's. My career path has led me back to psychotherapy. However, I'd like to help with those who have limited time, may not have insurance or may not be able to have face-to-face sessions on a regular basis.
